❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect my fan to the app?
Open the app and tap the "+" button in the top right corner of the Home screen. This will open the Add Device screen, which will automatically request Bluetooth permission if not already granted. The app will begin scanning for nearby compatible fan devices. When your fan appears, tap "Connect" to pair it. Make sure your fan is powered on and within Bluetooth range (approximately 10 meters).
What Bluetooth version does the app require?
nKpenFan uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which requires Bluetooth 4.0 or later. All iPhones running iOS 13 or later support BLE. The app only requires Bluetooth permission — no other permissions (such as location or camera) are needed.
How do I set a timer for my fan?
From the Home screen, scroll down to the "Timer & Schedule" section. Tap "Manage" to open the scheduling interface. You can set quick timers (30 min, 1h, 2h, 4h) or create custom schedules with specific turn-on and turn-off times. Schedules can repeat on selected days of the week.
Can I control multiple fans?
Currently, nKpenFan supports connecting to one fan device at a time. Support for multiple simultaneous connections is planned for a future update. You can disconnect from one device and connect to another at any time.
What do the oscillation modes do?
nKpenFan supports two independent oscillation modes: Vertical (Up & Down) moves the fan head up and down, and Horizontal (Left & Right) rotates the fan side to side. Both can be enabled simultaneously for full-room air circulation.
How are usage statistics calculated?
Usage statistics are tracked locally on your device. The app records how long the fan runs each day, which speed levels are used, and calculates daily averages and totals. All data is stored on your iPhone and is never uploaded to external servers. Visit the "Sean" (Statistics) tab to view detailed usage charts and breakdowns.
🔧 Troubleshooting
1
Fan Not Found
Ensure your fan is powered on and within 10m range. Check that Bluetooth is enabled in iOS Settings. Try toggling Bluetooth off and on, then restart the scan.
2
Connection Drops
Move closer to the fan. Avoid obstacles between your iPhone and the fan. If the problem persists, remove the device and re-pair it from the Add Device screen.
3
Controls Not Responding
Check the connection status indicator on the Home screen. If shown as "Disconnected", tap the fan card to reconnect. Ensure the fan has power.
4
App Crashes
Make sure you have the latest version of nKpenFan installed. Force-close the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
